Priority Four

Daysog’s Four-Part Strategy For the Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center

  1. Find Land Use Planner To Work With 94502 To Devise a New Community Vision For the Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center, Then Create New Zoning Per Community Vision
  2. Find a Set of Developers Interested in Pursuing The Project Built Per Community Vision – Work With Property Owner To Sell To One of These Developers
  3. Create “Commercial Vacancy Tax”: Due To State Law Regulating “Fees” City’s Existing “Commercial Vacancy Fee” Is Too Low To Prod Owner To Do the Right Thing
  4. Work With Regional Catholic Diocese To Have Them Consider Selling Shuttering St. Alberts to a Private Developer – Have Land Use Planner Work With Bay Farm Residents To Design Appropriate Housing and Green Area Mix.
